About the Owner
With 20 years of experience in the industry, Larry Reimer has built homes as close by as his home town of Landmark and as far away as Lake of the Woods and Riding Mountain National Park. In 1994, tired of being away from his growing family, he decided to start a home-based family business, built on honesty and trust.
That honesty and trust has remained a key component to all of Heartwork Homes’ projects throughout the years and continues to drive the business forward.
Explains Larry, "We are trying to provide the service and product that our clients are looking for, in an honest and open manner. It's important that they feel comfortable communicating with me and that I can gain their trust." He adds that during his first year in business, he was very involved in the hands-on building of every project, and in many ways still is.
Larry, who grew up in Landmark says, "My first year out of high school I worked for a homebuilder, but at the time I didn't know it was my calling." Since then, his heart has shown him the way.
About the Company
Heartwork builds homes of various sizes, designs and styles, including timber frame houses and cottages. The company usually takes on projects within a 100-mile radius of Winnipeg.
"We are interested in building in rural communities and on rural properties, and recently have entered the green building market by certifying R2000 with Natural Resources Canada”.
